What a distributor is on Surplus-GY

A distributor carries somebody else's brands under an agreement with the brand owner, usually for a named territory. You are not buying from the factory, so the useful questions are different: which brands they are authorised to carry, whether the goods are already in Guyana, and how quickly they can get more.

Every seller here has passed our checks on their business registration and TIN. Where a card says a brand list is checked, our team has read the letter of authorisation or the distribution agreement behind it; where it says "as stated by the seller", nobody has.
